What is a typical exchange between SPA and one of our clients? The truth is, benefits and health care are significant business issues, but they are also deeply personal topics, and so nothing is “typical”.

For example, take the CFO who was concerned about a 29% healthcare premium increase that would severely impact his bottom line. We were able to develop a plan design that was better suited for the group, and saved the business $110,000 that year…

Or consider the company whose executives’ savings were limited in their 401(k) Plan because employee participation was so low. We helped them implement a Plan that offered multiple asset class choices and then educated employees on the importance and nuances of planning for their financial futures. Participation nearly doubled and the executives were able to take advantage of the available tax savings benefits…

On the other hand, we also serve as an advocate for every individual employee experiencing difficulties between doctors and insurance claims.

With the advent of privacy laws and HIPPA, employers must now maintain an arms length when it comes to employee health problems.
